One of the fastest ways I know of to get into a certain mood or out of a certain mood is with music. Emotions are vibrations in our bodies. Different notes vibrate at certain frequencies that resonate with those emotions. Connect the notes with lyrics that also create a frequency, and BOOM. It can be pretty powerful.


I have dabbled off and on with creating and performing music my entire life, it will always be a part of me. My top 4 most listened to genres are:


1. Country/Acoustic - Female Country. I like em' salty and telling their stories without a filter. This has always helped me feel empowered. I love a brilliant lyricist. Kacey Musgraves is my girl, along with Miranda Lambert and The Chicks.


2. Celtic/NewAge - Magical. Beautiful. Breathtaking. Transportive. I would say orchestral goes here too. Loreena Mckennit, Enya, Celtic Women, & Lindsay Stirling are some of my favorites. Put a little dubstep or techno in here and it's that same fantasy feel with a beat and I LOVE it!


3. Pop. Yep. Good ol' chart topping pop. Classics for me are Michael Jackson, P!nk, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Imagine Dragons, and Taylor Swift.


4. Angry Music. This is when I need to get out some aggression at the gym. I listen to Eminem, Trapt, Linken Park, & Disturbed to name a few.
